Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a page search widget is sent to the outside provider that operates that widget. The provider processes the query under its own policy. Carroll County Court Docket does not keep a separate log of those query terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
Messages sent by email may be retained to respond and maintain the correspondence. They are not disclosed outside the organization unless a legal requirement calls for disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most web services, page requests produce technical visit information:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small browser files that help measure aggregate use, such as popular pages and navigation paths. Analytics services process that aggregated traffic information. Browser controls can block cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and contact information may be used for the following operating purposes:
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Carroll County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a docket or case-record database. It publishes general routing information for the county's clerks, courts, and PAMEC access. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search widgets. Their privacy rules, retention choices, and sharing practices apply to information entered there. Review the provider's policy before submitting a query because this resource does not control that processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links to court clerks, PAMEC, state publications, and other external resources lead to independently operated pages. Their privacy terms control after departure from this resource. Review them before providing any personal information.
Advertising partners may use their own systems for interest-based advertising across websites. That activity is governed by those partners, not by this policy.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable safeguards are used for information handled by this resource. No internet-based service can promise perfect security, so complete prevention of unauthorized access cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from people under 18. If a minor's information has been provided, contact the operator so it can be reviewed for deletion.
Your Data Rights
Mississippi's court-record access framework includes the Mississippi Public Records Act, Mississippi Code Chapter 61, but court dockets can also be controlled by judiciary policy, rules, and orders. That record-access framework does not create a separate privacy right in data supplied to this private resource. Visitors may still request reasonable access, correction, deletion, or processing information about personal data held by the operator:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
